Morgan's Apple Cider
Morgan’s Apple Cider 1kg Kit is an all natural product makes 20 litres of fantastic Apple cider.
Perfect for those long hot summer days.
If you like your cider sweeter then back sweetening will be required.
If bottling, a non-fermentable sweetener such as lactose or maltodextrin needs to be used to prevent over carbonation.
If kegging and force carbonating with Co2 any sweetener (e.g. apple juice) can be added to taste. The kegged cider must be refrigerated immediately to prevent further fermentation.
If you want a cider with more body we recommend using our brew blend 10 instead of 1kg dextrose.
To back sweeten the cider add the required amount of lactose or maltodextrin once primary fermentation is complete and stir to dissolve. Leave to settle for 2 days prior to bottling.
- Medium Sweetness: Add 250 gm of lactose or maltodextrin.
- Sweet: Add 500 gm of lactose or maltodextrin.
