Used to connect beverage tubing to ball lock kegs for dispensing.
Ball lock disconnects are the most popular way of connecting kegs to your draught system. The dry break mechanism in ball lock disconnects ensures no leaks when connecting or disconnecting liquid and gas lines. It works by having an internal valve that stays closed when the disconnect is not attached. When connected to the keg post, the valve opens to allow flow. Upon disconnection, the valve automatically closes, preventing spills and maintaining a clean and leak free draught system.
These low profile disconnects have a lower height than the traditional ball lock disconnect design, meaning you can stack kegs and leave more space within tight kegerator systems. The updated design also makes disassembly for thorough cleaning a breeze, minimal moving parts also minimises the chance of leaking and wear and tear.
Features:
-
Low Profile: Only 42mm in total height compared to previous models which come in at 55-60mm. When connected to the keg post these disconnects only add 20mm of height. This allows kegs to be double stacked with the disconnects still attached.
-
CombiBarb: These disconnects suit both 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm ID tubing and clamps as well as 6mm Speed Fittings (John Guest).
-
90 Degree Barb: Tubing is attached at 90 degrees as opposed to the previous models which attach at 45 degrees and require more space above the keg.
-
Tool Free Disassembly: Easily take these disconnects apart for a deep cleaning. The simple design means these can be easily reassembled after thorough cleaning.
-
Chemically Resistant: Made from food grade ABS, these disconnects can handle most chemicals used by home-brewers.
