JoinTech Male Connector x 1/2" Male BSPT

Dry break connectors suitable for both extreme heat and extreme cool conditions.

These dry break disconnect fittings are an alternative to standard ball lock disconnects suited to both extreme hot and extreme cold conditions such as those found on the brewhouse or on glycol systems. The dry break mechanism within these fittings means that both the male and female connector auto shut off when disconnected from each other. When not connected to another JoinTech connector there will be no flow allowed through the fitting. This is particularly suited to glycol systems to stop glycol leakage when disconnecting a fermenter from a glycol chiller for cleaning.

These fittings are manufactured from polyketone, 316 stainless steel and use EDPM washers meaning they can be used in temperatures up to 138°C and as low as -40°C. The wider opening at the connection point between two JoinTech connections also allows for minimal flow resistance and subsequently better flow rates than ball lock disconnects.

These fittings are disconnected by pushing the button on the female connector.
