Warrior is an American bittering hop variety that is commonly used in commercial breweries for its great storage stability and higher alpha acid content. Due to its higher alpha acid content warrior is often used for early kettle additions. Later additions tend to bring out the resin and pine flavours from warrior which pair particularly well with the American 'c' hop varieties. Warrior does not contain a large amount of oil, the predominant indicator of flavour, so very late additions and dry hopping will not benefit from warrior as much as they would from a more oily hop such as Citra, Mosaic, Ekuanot and Centennial.
