Dried Rose Petals

Add a light floral note with a mild rose perfumed flavour to your gins.

Rose is a becoming a popular gin botanical due to the pleasant rose perfume and light sweet floral notes it adds to your spirit. The mild flavours of rose petals makes rose a great addition to gins with a lighter flavour or a more traditional London dry style where the flavours are not too overpowering that the nuances of the rose is lost in the final product. When using rose we recommend maceration to avoid drawing some of the harsh character out of the petals. When macerated rose petals will also add a light pink hue to the final product.

Rose petals can also be used during serving as a garnish to lighten up a gin mixer and add a light rose perfume.

Dosage:

To add a mild balanced flavour use 2 tablespoons per litre. We recommend startling lower and titrating up if the flavour is not pronounced enough.

Storage:

Our dried rose petals are packed into resealable foil bags to eliminate UV damage, ensure they are kept sealed and so you can reseal these bags after opening. We recommend refrigerating after opening and using the within two years of opening. Try to keep these out of a moist environment too.
