An Experimental New Zealand hop variety that displays a unique tropical fruit and candy flavour!

Superdelic™, also known as NZH-102, is a triploid variety that was crossed by Dr. Ron Beatson in 2012 through a partnership breeding program between 'NZ Hops ltd' and 'Plant and Food Research'. Superdelic showed great brewing characteristics and as a result was fast tracked to the NZ Hops trial hop farm in 2017. It exhibited great performance in the field with a vigorous growth pattern, resistance to mite damage, and high yield.

Superdelic™ boasts a unique flavour profile with a complex oil breakdown. Notes of candied fruit, candy and tropical fruit makes this variety a spectacular addition to juicy styles such as Hazy IPA's and NEIPA's. Despite this complex profile Superdelic has applications as both a stand alone hop while also having great synergies with other juicy varieties such as El Dorado, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe and more! With red fruit, candy, citrus and tropical fruit characteristics, brewers have now got something totally different to use in their craft.
