Add on accessory for duotight manifolds allowing you to regulate individual line pressures.

This is an upgrade inline regulator for the duotight manifolds, stepping the gas line size down to 6.35mm (1/4"). It fits the following manifolds:

This accesorry is also available with an 8mm Duotight outlet, but for smaller domestic kegerators we'd recommend sizing down to 3mm x 6.35mm gas line. It fits more lines into a kegerator, and it gives you a clear visual cue for which line is gas.

Pair it with EVA Beverage Tubing 3mm ID x 6.35mm OD or any extruded tubing with a 6.35mm(1/4") OD (grab it in red from our beverage tubing range if you want it easier to identtify).

These upgrade inline regulators have a check valve built in. You can pull the check out if you want gas or water to move freely in both directions.

If you're upgrading the stock gauge for a Mini Digital Illuminated Gauge for better accuracy, don't run liquid through it. Water will break it. It's not rated for anything but gas.

Installation:

Use a thin flat-head screwdriver to slide and pop the black retainer tabs, then remove the ball valve.

The manifold comes with mounting hardware out of the box (button head screws). If you're mounting it on a kegerator though, we'd suggest grabbing the Duotight 8mm Adhesive Wall Clip instead. No drilling required.

Note: not suitable for liquids other than filtered water.

Generation 2 duotight

Duotight fittings have had some recent changes to improve the reliability:

  • Colour-coded collets: 6.35mm (1/4") = Green, 8mm (5/16") = Black, 9.5mm (3/8") = Blue
  • Burst pressure over 300psi @ 25°C
  • Built from Polyketone (POK), not Acetal like John Guest fittings
  • Higher chemical and UV resistance
  • Strong gas barrier performance thanks to EPDM + Silicone seals
  • Holds up well in cold temperatures
  • Gauge depth indicators (>| or |<) make fitting easier to get right first time

Duotight push-in fittings use a double O-ring design, and that's the reason they seal as well as they do.

Duotight fittings use two different O-ring materials for a reason. EPDM has strong gas and chemical resistance, but it can shrink slightly when chilled. Silicone holds its shape much better in sub-zero conditions. Running both together means twice the sealing surface of a fitting that only uses one O-ring type, which cuts the chance of a leak right down.

The double O-ring setup also lets you bend the hose to a tighter radius without it losing its radial seal.

No clamps needed. Just make sure you cut your hose straight rather than on an angle, so the line seats with a complete seal. To remove a fitting, push in on the collet and the hose pulls free with a gentle twist.
