Kegland Replacement MK 4 Regulator Diaphragm and Seat Assembly
Replacement Part
Complete Diaphragm, Seat and Seat Cap assembly.
This replacement MK 4 regulator diaphragm and seat assembly features a fully encapsulated design. Additionally, an extra sintered filter is used at the base to minimise contamination and prevent pressure creep. This sealed unit ensures that even in less-than-ideal environments, there is minimal risk of contamination during servicing.
This sintered valve will work with the MK3 regulator. However, the diaphragm itself is not compatible due to its larger size.
The main reason you might replace these parts is because:
1. You have gas leaking through your diaphragm. (this is extremely uncommon)
2. The gasket on around the edge of your diaphragm is worn out. (this is also extremely uncommon)
3. You have a pressure creep issue. (this is the most likely need to purchase this assembly)
Pressure Creep:
The cause of regulator creep is often contamination in the seat and seat cap assembly. When high-pressure gas leaks into the low-pressure side, the regulator will slowly increase in pressure until the pressure relief valve is triggered. Replacing these parts can quickly fix the issue and only takes a few minutes.
