A dual purpose hop that is widely used for bittering due to its high Alpha Acid content. Columbus has a pungent black pepper and licorice characteristics with subtle citrus overtones. Columbus as a whole contains many oils responsible for its flavour however can give your beer a 'resiny' texture.
