Super crisp with a clean neutral malt profile and rice top notes, very light in colour with a super subtle hop flavour. Extremely refreshing!
The American Light Lager is a modern evolution of traditional American lagers, designed to be crisp, refreshing, and super easy to drink. Emerging in the mid-20th century when breweries sought to appeal to a broader audience, especially those looking for a lower-calorie, lower-alcohol alternative to standard lagers. By using highly attenuative yeast strains and lightly kilned malts, brewers achieved a clean, pale, and subtle beer that emphasizes drinkability over intense flavour.
American Light Lagers are pale straw to light gold in colour, with a very mild malt profile and almost imperceptible sweetness. Hop bitterness is minimal, just enough to provide balance, while carbonation is medium to high, enhancing the refreshing character. They are typically lower in ABV and extremely sessionable. You'll enjoy this beer if you enjoy famous beers like Coors Lite or Brewdog Lite.

To speed up yeast flocculation and get a clearer finish faster, dissolve 1 beer clear finings sachet in 200mLs of hot water and add directly to fermenter during the cold crash (if kegging).
Lager for extended periods of time at close to freezing temperatures 0 degrees celsius for best results and best clarity.
