Build Your Ideal Brewing Water Profile with RO water.

Designed to be mounted on the wall in the laundry above laundry tub, so that it can fit onto a 3/4" tap and the waste water can go directly down the drain. Comes with a 3/4" main entry adaptor. Flow rate is approximately 50 Gallons Per Day, which will produces approx 215 ltrs per day on reasonably good quality water. The higher the mineral content, the less water will be produced and the more waste water will be produced. All filters and membranes are supplied. Kit includes Tubing, Pre Carbon & Post Carbon Block filters.

Why RO water?

Water might seem like the simplest ingredient in beer, but it plays a massive role in flavour, mouthfeel, and fermentation performance. Most municipal tap water contains chlorine or chloramine, disinfectants added to keep the water supply safe. While effective for sanitation, these chemicals can react with yeast by products to form chlorophenols, which create unpleasant medicinal or band-aid-like flavours.

To prevent this, a basic carbon filter (like the one included in this kit) or Campden tablets (metabisulfite) will do the trick. However, if you’re looking to step up your brewing game, using Reverse Osmosis (RO) water gives you full control. RO filtration removes nearly all dissolved minerals and contaminants, giving you a completely neutral starting point, ideal for adding back minerals to build a precise water profile tailored to the beer style you’re brewing.

Why does that matter? Because each of those minerals affects your beer in different ways. Calcium helps with yeast health and clarity, sulfates bring out hop bitterness, and chloride boosts malt sweetness. By starting with mineral-free RO water, you can build your own beer style specific water profile for the exact beer style you're making.  It's like being able to fine-tune the seasoning in a recipe, rather than being stuck with whatever minerals your tap water happens to contain.
