304 Stainless Commercial keg adapted to be used as a pressure capable fermenter.

This 50L stainless steel keg has the same design as a standard 50L keg, but with a 4 inch (approximately 10cm) tri-clover lid with ball lock posts and pressure relief valve. This makes the tank a turnkey solution for fermenting or dispensing from using the standard home brew ball lock fittings.

The Kegmenter is rated to hold 3.5bar (50psi) which makes it possible to carbonate and ferment in the same vessel. Being able to hold pressure also means you can push the beer out of the fermenter directly through a filter or even dispense directly from fermenter to draft beer tap if you wanted to. The posts on the lid of the Kegmenter are recessed below the level of the chimes so the Kegmenters can be stacked. The interlocking chimes means the kegs can be safely stacked up to 4 high.

These kegmenters are ideal for use as fermenters, wine topping vessels, carbonation tanks for beer champagne or other products, mini-bright beer tan or even just a conventional keg.

This kegmenter bundle also includes a stainless steel dip tube. If you want to use this as a fermenter instead of a keg we would recommend replacing this dip tube with a floating dip tube kit.

Easy Cleaning

The 304 stainless construction with a large opening allowing even brewers with bigger arms to get inside and give them a scrub. The stainless Steel is chemically resistant, temperature tolerant, and impermeable to gas exchange.

Pressure Fermenting

Give yourself the ability to ferment under pressure, not only will you lower ester production allowing more malt and hop flavours to shine instead of yeast character you can ferment at warmer temperatures than normal, meaning total fermenting time is reduced.

Closed Transfers

Sick and tired of huge hoppy beers not doing so well after transferring them your kegs after a week or so? This could be due to the oxidative processes beer undergoes in the presence of oxygen. Closed transferring allows you to transfer your beer using positive pressure in your fermenter to a purged keg so your beer doesn't see oxygen and lasts longer without loosing freshness.

Oxygen Free Dry Hops

Easily purge your kegmenter using external CO2 (not included) to remove excess oxygen that can be introduced into your beer when dry hopping, particularly late in fermentation. Alternatively you can fashion a dry hopping port using the standard 4" modular opening.

Use your fermenter as a keg

Carbonate and dispense directly from your fermenter.
