Glycerine - Spirit Smoothening Agent

Smoothening agent used for spirits that is added directly to the final product.

Glycerine acts as a smoothening agent in spirits. the use of glycerine can help improve spirit texture and mouthfeel as well as smoothness. Glycerine is used to mask harsher flavours in higher strength alcohol, particuarly those that are typically served neat such as Vodka, Bourbon and Whiskey. Glycerine also works grweat when combined with oaking to imitate a smooth, aged spirit.

Dosage:

5ml per litre of spirit.
More can be used to make the final product more smooth however doses too high can lead to a sweet finish. Ensure to start with a lower dosage of glycerine and titrate up the dosage as to not leave your final product with a sweet finish.
